Hello, past me! I used to struggle with this. And it took a lot of effort, work, self-compassion and time on my own to get over it. For me at least, and after studying psychology I suspect many many others, this stems from unmet needs in childhood. And going back to heal the core of our childhood trauma takes time. I hope whoever resonates with your article realizes that. And realizes that there’s no shame in having struggled with this and self-love (not more love from your partner as I once thought) is the key to fixing it.
